The oldest, non-profit education foundation in Orange County, SchoolPower has raised money for Laguna Beach public schools since 1981. SchoolPower, the Laguna Beach Education Foundation, is governed by a board of parent trustees. Our success depends on a multitude of hard-working volunteers, a part-time and dedicated staff and a generous community. Each year, we fundraise through our Annual Community Campaign and several Events. The money provides the four Laguna Beach public schools—El Morro Elementary, Top of the World Elementary, Thurston Middle School and Laguna Beach High School—with valued educational programs and resources. A percentage of the annual money raised also sustains the SchoolPower Endowment Foundation, which in turn supports the Teacher Grant Program.



The Laguna Beach Unified School District is one of the smallest districts in Orange County, as well as being one of the oldest. Due to the rising expenses associated with delivering quality education, public schools continuously face financial uncertainties. In Laguna Beach, we are fortunate to have great schools and District leaders with the long term vision to continually strive to new heights and at the same time prepare for unpredictable times ahead. If you have a child, work, live or own a business in Laguna Beach, you are part of this great effort. Thanks to many supporters, SchoolPower has provided local schools with millions of dollars for teacher innovation, academics, the arts, athletics, and technology.
