Schoolpower's annual Community Campaign is critical to achieving our financial commitments to the District. In 2008-09, 478 of the nearly 2000 school families contributed over $344,000 to support programs in academics, the arts, technology and athletics. Nearly $70,000 of the money raised was donor-directed to our teachers or to specific programs, providing funding for important educational resources and materials.
Under the direction of our Community Campaign Chair Carol Normandin, the suggested contribution for 2008/09 is $250 per child. For families who are able, please stretch your gift so the District can reach higher for Laguna Beach students Please donate any amount that is comfortable to you, as our goal is 100% participation by all families. Volunteer
This fall about 50 parent volunteers will ask every family in the district for a pledge. As you can imagine, that's a lot of phone calls! Join us talking to fellow parents on phone bank nights.
